22-29

Tattoos stretch and grow with age. The lines aren’t as crisp, their edges blurry, softened by age.

I love my aging skin and aging tattoos. Oh the stories they have to tell. All from different states, countries and continents. Traveling far and wide through heat and blistering cold. On planes and boats and buses- so so many buses.

My tattoos tell the story of me. Each one means something to me but not in the way you think. My stick of butter means as much as my quote “she is art”. The meaning tells the story of who I was in those moments. 22-29 has collected 39 tattoos and with that the story of my  twenties. The tattoos will only get lighter and a little bit blurrier as the years go on. But I won’t ever forget. My twenties, how special these stories live on me forever.
